The mission of the Menno-Olivet Care Center shall be a response to and sharing of God's love through service to people.
The Menno-Olivet Care Center is a private nonprofit corporation founded in 1969 with groundbreaking October 25th, 1970. On December 1, 1971 the first resident was admitted to the facility. MOCC started with 37 beds and in 1975 a 12 bed addition was added to bring the bed capacity to 49. In 1996 a 40x80 dining room and activities area was added. In 2000 an east wing was added to expand the therapy area, provide office space, and increase the number of private rooms available. Assisted living services were added in July of 2009. Today we have 8 assisted living beds and 41 long term care beds. We value our history and strive to continue providing quality healthcare to the seniors we serve.
Our primary purpose is to provide for the care and well-being of each of our residents. Each resident must be treated with respect, dignity, honor, courtesy, thoughtfulness, and patience. We have a responsibility to not only meet the residents' physical needs, but also their social and spiritual needs. The basic human need to love and be loved shows in the daily work done at MOCC. We believe a job well done is the greatest reward and we look to hire people with caring attributes for we can train an individual for this work but kindness love comes from the heart.
